John Anderson, Director at Comfortex Ltd, shares a teaser ahead of an exciting new product launch later this year.
Comfortex are professional manufacturers of mattresses, seating, and specialist foam products. Based in Oldham, the company, which was founded in 1997, operates a 57,000sqft factory, employing just under 100 staff.
The business’ ongoing commitment to excellence has enabled the company to prosper in what has been a difficult market to navigate. For Comfortex, supply partners across a number of strategic markets – including Medical, Retail, Contract, Nursery and Leisure, last year delivered stable results, providing a platform to build on into 2026.
“During 2025, business was stable, but we saw positive growth in the final few months of the year,” John said. “As we operate in different sectors, which all feature our mattresses as well as supplying a range of comfort products, we have been able to maintain positive performance overall.”
During the past 12-months, the company has invested in its operations and product development. “We have invested in upgrading our Coldcure plant and installed new quilting machines,” John revealed. The investment has seen the business inject over six figures, which will bolster efficiency processes and production.
Furthermore, on the product side, John added that there has been lots of work that has gone into product development ready to showcase at the Furniture Components Expo 2026, which is set to take place in March this year.
“We are looking to launch a new version of our Coldcure cushion and Ecofil cushions,” John said. “The investments have been made to help offer our customer premium cushions that are exceptionally comfy and durable. The product is due to be launched imminently and highlighted at Furniture Components Expo 2026 next March, but that’s all I can say at the moment.”
John did say that the year ahead looks very bright for the business after securing a number of new customers, which alongside new product launches, 2026 is “looking positive”.
In addition, the continued implementation of its core values and business philosophy will also play a key role in its future success. “Outstanding service is our watchword and is at the core of our business,” John added.
“Our many customers from the furniture, bedding, medical and other specialised industries, have enjoyed our strong support and recognise the quality of our people at every level. By working alongside our customers, Comfortex consistently contribute to revolutionary products and ideas, allowing the industries we support to remain diverse, cost effective and innovative.”
