Independent carpet retailer A1 Carpets has suffered significant building damage after a car crashed into the property.
The crash happened at A1 Carpets in Woolston, at the junction of Victoria Road and Keswick Road, on Sunday at around 4am.
It is understood that two cars were racing down the road when one hit the corner of the building. No one was hurt in the incident.
The company said that the crash has caused significant damage to the building, with the bricks and door needing to be replaced.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.02am on Sunday 14 June with reports that a car had collided with the front of a business premises in Victoria Road, causing damage.
“No one was injured, and the vehicle did not remain at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing.”
