The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has shared an update into its investigation against online furniture Wayfair.
The CMA is investigating whether time-limited sales ended when they said they would and has been engaged with Wayfair, as well as gathering evidence since November 2025 to consider whether Wayfair has infringed consumer protection law.
In a short update on the case, the CMA outlined that the investigation remains “ongoing” with the next update expected to be during this summer.
A previous statement when the investigation launched said: “At this initial stage, it should not be assumed that Wayfair has infringed consumer protection law and no finding has been made.”
The investigation forms part of a wider package of action covering online pricing practices. Read more here.
