Contract furniture maker maintains record sales levels

Contract furniture manufacturer Deanestor has reported a slight decline in sales although turnover remained strong over £20m.

According to the latest filed accounts ended 31 December 2024, total sales dipped 2.2% to £21.9m from £22.4m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £164,000, down from its profit of £289,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Record levels of turnover have been maintained at £22m while operating costs have increased compared to year ending December 2023 in preparation for an anticipated increase in turnover in 2025/2026 accounting periods.

“Numerous labour productivity, purchasing efficiency and cost control initiatives have been implemented during the year which will provide significant gains going forward into future trading periods. We finished the period in robust financial health with net assets of more than £3m.

“As of April 2025, Deanestor has a record order book with a value of £33m. All sectors Deanestor operate in continue to generate opportunities and the company expects further increased revenues in 2025 and 2026 as a result of the growth of the order book/quote book and our reputation for high quality products and services.”
