Creditors face shortfall as furniture manufacturer enters liquidation

Lancashire-based furniture maker Valiant Furniture has entered liquidation.

Rikki Burton and Jasmine Baxter, both of Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited, were appointed as joint liquidators of Valiant Furniture Ltd on 20 February 2026.

The firm has entered a Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation, meaning that the directors, led by Samuel Urmston, have concluded that the business is insolvent and can no longer meet its financial obligations.

Valiant Furniture has been supplying independent retailers throughout the UK for more than 35 years.

Detailed on Companies House, the business owed preferential creditor the HMRC £162,000, while unsecured creditor claims totalled £320,000. It is expected that creditors will suffer a shortfall of £475,000.
