Hotel bedroom furniture manufacturer Curtis Furniture has completed a major fit-out across two hotels in the IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) franchise, with each having undergone a major refurbishment and rebranding transformation.
The hotels, located in Fareham and Southampton, are operated by Valor Hospitality and are part of IHG’s voco brand.
As part of the roll out of voco, updates and renovations have been made to former Holiday Inn properties to create distinct spaces that reflect the individual charm of each hotel’s local area. Across the two sites, Curtis Furniture has manufactured and installed high-quality pieces, including headboards, bedside tables, desks, storage units and more, for a total of 261 rooms.
Curtis Furniture has partnered with IHG for 20 years, having manufactured products for hotels across many of its brands.

Curtis Furniture’s Managing Director, Andrew Reynolds, said that to be selected to work on the roll out of one of IHG’s latest brands is testament to the success of that historic relationship, and proof of Curtis Furniture’s ability to adapt in line with the group’s ever evolving needs.
Andrew added: “We’ve been working with IHG for nearly two decades now – they were part of some of our very first hotel projects – so it’s been a real pleasure to be involved in these latest developments across the UK. voco is an exciting brand that is really transforming outdated buildings and giving them a fresh lease of life, while still delivering great experiences for guests.
“Alongside our previous work on other IHG hotels, these recent projects highlight just how creative our team can be, and how dedicated we are to manufacturing furniture that truly stands out in the hospitality space.”
