Devon furniture retailer to close after 30 years

Furniture retailer Deep Valley Furniture Co has confirmed it plans to close, bringing an end to over 30 years of trading.

Situated at Caddsdown Industrial Park in Bideford, the company has launched a closing down sale and will cease operations on 30 August 2026.

In a statement, the business said: “We’ve made the difficult decision to close our Deep Valley store in Bideford.

“This hasn’t been easy. Over the years, we’ve loved welcoming customers into the store and helping people find furniture and pieces for their homes. We’re incredibly grateful for all the support shown to us.

“As many of you know, Deep Valley is part of Devonshire Living, and more of our work now happens behind the scenes, designing and manufacturing furniture for department stores and retailers across the UK.

“As demand from our trade customers continues to grow, we’ve decided to focus our time and resources on that part of the business moving forward.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported the Bideford store over the years. It has meant a great deal to us.”
