Dreamland Bedding’s GM smashes target in charity sleepout

The General Manager of independent bed retailer Dreamland Bedding Centre has smashed his fundraising target by over 500% following a recent ‘sleep out’ event in support of the Wolves Foundation.

On Friday 14 November 2025, Matthew Randle swapped his usual evening of business functions and black-tie events for something entirely different – a sleeping bag and the cold concrete at Molineux Stadium.

The charity event saw Matthew raise £550, smashing his initial target of £100. Commenting on the sleepout, he said: “On Friday evening, I joined the Sleepout at Molineux in support of the Good Shepherd charity, raising vital funds to combat homelessness.

“What began as a symbolic gesture quickly became a sobering reminder of the harsh realities many endure daily. Storm Claudia battered us throughout the night, and despite my improvised “tent” fashioned from a stain‑guard mattress protector and a Silentnight eye mask to block the floodlights, sleep was scarce.

“The experience was humbling. It underscored the resilience required of those facing such conditions not for one night, but as a lived reality. After a quick shower, I went straight into work the following morning tired, but with a renewed sense of purpose and perspective.

“I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported this initiative. Together, we raised £550, which with Gift Aid brings the total close to £700. Your generosity directly strengthens the Good Shepherd’s mission to provide support, and pathways out of homelessness.

“Thank you again to all who stood behind this cause, your support makes a tangible difference.”
