The General Manager of independent bed retailer Dreamland Bedding Centre is preparing to ‘sleep out’ in support of the Wolves Foundation.
This November, Matthew Randle will be swapping his usual evening of business functions and black-tie events for something entirely different – a sleeping bag and the cold concrete at Molineux Stadium.
“I’m taking part in the Molineux Sleepout 2025, an annual event organised by the Wolves Foundation to raise awareness and funds for those facing homelessness and hardship across Wolverhampton,” Matthew said.
“For me, this isn’t just another charitable initiative, it’s deeply personal. My brother once found himself homeless. We led very different lives, but his story has never left me. Taking part in the Sleepout is my way of trying to understand, in a small way, what he went through. It’s also a way of honouring his memory.”
Matthew’s brother sadly passed away three years ago, at just 34 years of age. It’s a loss that continues to shape his outlook on life and the importance of compassion.
“At this time of year, my calendar is usually filled with gala dinners, awards ceremonies and social events,” Matthew added. “This will be a stark contrast and reminder of how fragile life can be, and how vital it is to support those who are struggling.
“All funds raised from the Sleepout will go directly to the Wolves Foundation, which works tirelessly to motivate, educate and inspire individuals across Wolverhampton through community programmes and outreach projects.
“I’d be incredibly grateful for any support. Every donation, large or small, will make a difference and help the Foundation continue its remarkable work.”
