EZ Living Interiors’ flagship Sandyford store has been awarded Furniture Store of the Year 2025 at the Retail Excellence Awards, securing one of the industry’s most coveted honours.
The win comes twelve years after the Sandyford location first opened its doors and reflects the store’s exceptional creativity, innovation and customer experience.
The achievement is rooted in the vision of co-founder Caroline White, whose discerning design eye continues to shape the layout and presentation of the Sandyford store.
“Caroline has always had a strong creative vision and a deep commitment to bringing something unique and inspiring to the interiors industry in Ireland,” says Emma Doyle, multi-site manager at EZ Living Interiors. “She has empowered customers for years to create homes that reflect their personality, style and dreams.”
This vision is brought to life throughout the award-winning store, from curated design moments and intuitive pathways to the Parlour Room, a unique space built with salvaged Georgian windows that also serves as the recording location for the brand’s Style Stories podcast. The series has welcomed notable Irish design voices and celebrity homeowners including Hugh Wallace and Muireann O’Connell.
Now recognised as a leading experiential interiors destination, the Sandyford store hosts design events, seasonal workshops such as wreath-making and paint-and-prosecco evenings, shopping incentive events and even complimentary matcha tastings. Visitors can also enjoy the Artist in Residence programme, showcasing original Irish art from both established and emerging artists.
The award also celebrates the outstanding work of the Sandyford visual merchandising team, led by Aimee O Donovan, regional visual merchandising manager.
“An exceptional interiors store should offer surprise, delight and inspiration at every turn,” she says. “Immersive room sets, a welcoming environment and thoughtful finishing touches are essential, and of course, the cushions are always chopped.”
This year’s submission highlighted the specialised artistry within the company’s national Visual Merchandising team. Henrique Lima, a trained florist, created impactful floral installations, while Nathan Corry, a tailor and sewist, crafted standout textile and cushion displays, including a suspended cushion installation. Visual merchandiser Sarah Dunne led the creation of immersive window displays, from a fully styled podcast recording room to heritage and futuristic interior themes, supported by the brand’s creative and graphic design teams.
For the Sandyford store, the win carries deep emotional significance. After four consecutive years of entering the awards and refining the store based on judge feedback, this recognition marks the culmination of tireless effort.
“This achievement is the result of extraordinary hard work from countless people across our business,” says Emma Doyle. “There have been long nights, early mornings and unwavering commitment from our team, including the late Sara Tobin, who we honour through our Christmas Room.”
Sara, a beloved member of the Sandyford team, was known for her warmth, creativity and uplifting presence. Her influence endures in the Christmas Room, where her passion for the festive season continues to inspire colleagues and delight customers. For many at EZ Living Interiors, the award feels closely connected to her memory.
With this prestigious win, the EZ Living Interiors Sandyford store stands proudly as Ireland’s top furniture and interiors destination, a testament to vision, craftsmanship and true retail excellence.
