Fitted furniture supplier Hammonds Furniture has reported a growth in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 28 September 2025, total sales rose 0.7% to £98.8m from £98.1m in 2024.
Pre-tax losses resulted at £1.6m, narrowing from a loss of £2.4m recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, Hammonds said: “The period showed encouraging signs of improvement in the trading environment, with reductions in interest rates during the year providing a gradual uplift to consumer confidence following the challenging macroeconomic conditions experienced in recent periods.
“Whilst cost of living pressures and economic uncertainty persisted, the direction of travel was more positive, and the company was well positioned to benefit from an improving market backdrop.
“The improvement in trading conditions, combined with the benefit of the cost reduction programme and operational efficiency gains implemented in FY24 and continued into FY25, resulted in a significantly reduced pre-tax loss.
“This represents a reduction in losses of approximately £765,756, a meaningful step forward and a clear demonstration of the progress being made towards profitability.”
