Furniture retailer Sofa.com, part of the Frasers Group, is set to close its York store.
Situated in Coppergate, York, the retailer is currently running a closing down sale and is expected to close in the coming weeks upon conclusion of the sale period. It has signs advertising 20% discounts as part of a closing down sale.
The closure brings an end to its trading at the premises, which first opened back in the summer of 2022.
Sofa.com also trades from seven other stores across the UK, including Bankside, Bath, Chelsea, Glasgow, Guildford, Nottingham and Castleford, as well as a through 12 Frasers concessions.
The retailer recently posted a decline in sales for the year ended 30 April 2025, with total sales down 17.2% to £22.6m from £27.3m in 2024. Pre-tax losses resulted at £8.2m. Read more here.
