Furniture searches mixed during October 2025

UK searches of furniture during October saw Furniture Village as a popular search, alongside kitchen furniture, mattresses, carpets and sofas.

According to Google search data analysed by Big Furniture Group, eight days during October 2025 saw ‘furniture’ searches record an index score of 90 or more, while a score over 80 came in at nine days. The highest searched date was 5 October with a full score 100.

Google index’s its search data to 100. This means where 100 is the maximum search interest for the term selected, it is the highest value and indicates a high internet search.

The results saw related searches of specific terms that included ‘Furniture Village Chester’, up 300%, ‘bespoke kitchen furniture’, up 200%, and ‘cox and cox’, up 100%. Other popular terms included ‘nick sacli furniture’ – up 70%, ‘furniture village leeds’ – up 130%, and ‘heals’ – up 50%, while ‘second hand furniture shop near me’ was up 80%, and ‘dfs sofas’ rose 40%.

Other search terms Big Furniture Group reviewed included mattresses, bedroom furniture, dining furniture, living room furniture, sofas, carpets and flooring.

Mattresses

Mattress searches recorded seven peak dates with an index score value of 90 or more. The highest searched date was 12 October with a full score of 100. Popular related brand searches included Simba, Mattressman, Panda London, Mattress Online, Emma, Nectar, Tempur and Relyon. The terms ‘Simba Mattress’ – up 300%, ‘travelodge mattress’ – up 120%, and ‘double bed frame and mattress’ – up 70%, were notable searches. Meanwhile, ‘best mattress for side sleepers’, ‘emma single mattress’, and ‘japanese floor mattress’ searches were other high related queries. Finally, searches of ‘premier inn mattresses to buy’ rose 3,150% and ‘who sells nectar mattresses’ increased 1,600%.

Bedroom furniture

Bedroom furniture searches recorded three days of peak activity with an index value over 90. The most searched date was 5 October, which scored a full 100. Popular brand searches included Barker and Stonehouse, Furniture Village, Starplan, Homesense, Wren, daals, Furniture123 and Dunelm. The terms ‘wren bedrooms’, ‘wardrobe with drawers’, ‘ready made bedroom furniture’, ‘ex display bedroom furniture’, ‘space saving bedroom furniture’ and ‘mango wood bedroom furniture’ were high breakout searches.

Dining furniture

Dining furniture searches recorded one day of peak activity with an index value over 90. The most searched date was 26 October, which scored a full 100. Popular brand searches included Loaf, ercol, Furniture Village, Heals, B&M, JYSK, CFS Furniture, Cult and Oak Furnitureland. The terms ‘cult furniture reviews’ – up 4,600%, ‘g plan dining table’ – up 4,300%, ‘kitchen & dining tables’ – up 3,750%, ‘furniture village sale dining table’, and ’10 seater dining table’ were high searches.

Living room furniture

Living room furniture saw one peak day during the month. The most searched day was 12 October that scored the full 100 score. Popular brand related searches included Wayfair, Laura Ashley, Sharps, ercol, Next, John Lewis, JYSK, Amazon and B&M. The terms ‘matching living room furniture’, ‘hallway furniture’, ‘retro living room furniture’, ‘coffee tables for living room’, ‘luxury living room furniture’, and ‘accent chairs for living room’, were all standout searches.

Sofas

Sofa searches saw seven peak dates, with the highest score of 100 recorded on 19 October. Popular related brand searches included Sofology, Tetrad, DFS, Sofa Club, Swoon, Darlings of Chelsea, La-Z-Boy, IKEA, Stressless and JYSK. Search terms included ‘dfs essie sofa’, up 350%, and ‘dfs freya sofa’, up 110%. Other terms included ‘sofa club discount code’ and ‘3 piece sofa set’, while ‘living room sets’ rose 3,200% and ‘three seater sofas’ increased 120%.

Flooring & Carpets

Flooring searches saw four days scoring over 90, with the highest date being 11 October, scoring the full 100. Carpet searches saw 17 days scoring over 90, with the highest date on 11 October scoring the full 100. Popular brand searches included Karndean, Victoria, Franks Flooring, UK Flooring Direct, Forbo, Havwoods, Howdens, Cormar, Abingdon Flooring, United Carpets, Tapi Carpets and Wilsons Carpets. Popular search terms included ‘unnatural flooring company’ – up 3,900%, ‘water resistant laminate flooring’ – up 400%, ‘thames carpets’, and ‘pauls carpets’. Other terms included ‘spiral carpets’, while ‘farrell’s carpets’ searches rose 4,750%, ‘jbm carpets’ – up 4,500% and ‘trade carpets grantham’, up 3,950%.
