During the period Furniture Village expanded its physical store portfolio, opening a new Edinburgh store in December 2024. In addition, it opened a second store in Scotland, its largest footprint store, in Glasgow ahead of schedule in June 2025.

“Both stores have performed very well since opening and have exceeded all expectations,” the retailer said. “The portfolio of physical stores at 29 June 2025 was therefore 58 stores (30 June 2024 56 stores), extending physical ‘reach’ across most of England and now Scotland.”

Furthermore, a new store in Worcester opened in August 2025, which has also exceeded expectations and trading ahead of target since opening.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The year ended 29 June 2025 represents another important step forward in building a strong, resilient and ambitious business, one able to weather the inevitable storms whilst at the same time capable of identifying and crystalising opportunities for growth.

“Despite a challenging trading environment, the Group delivered strong 8% like for like growth in order intake, improved profitability, and growth in available cash, whilst continuing to invest in our store infrastructure and our ongoing ERP project without resorting to any external funding.

“Our people remain our greatest asset and they are undoubtedly the key to our success and we continue to invest in them and ensure they remain amongst the best rewarded in the industry.”
