Glasswells unveils new Gifts, Cookware & Lighting departments at Bury St Edmunds

Independent furniture retailer Glasswells has announced the completion of its latest major investment — the transformation of the Gifts, Cookware & Lighting Departments at its Bury St Edmunds store.

Following months of design and development, this new space offers customers an elegant, modern environment showcasing a beautiful selection of gifts, premium cookware, and stylish lighting — just in time for the festive season. The project forms part of Glasswells’ ongoing commitment to enhancing its showrooms and delivering a first-class shopping experience for every customer.

The makeover, which began earlier this year, was created in collaboration with designer John Evans, whose previous work on the Bury and Ipswich atriums has been met with great acclaim. The result is a contemporary, inspiring space that perfectly blends practicality with style.

Glasswells now boasts the largest lighting department in East Anglia, alongside a wide array of gift ideas for the festive season, including a great selection of gifts for children. Shoppers can also explore a fantastic range of cookshop essentials, as well as an extensive selection of towels, linens, and bathshop products.

With Christmas fast approaching, Glasswells offers the perfect opportunity for customers to find everything they need under one roof — from thoughtful gifts and beautiful home accessories to elegant lighting and premium cookware from leading brands such as Le Creuset, Smeg, and Laura Ashley.

And the transformation isn’t stopping there — the Linens Department is set to be completed soon, further expanding the refreshed and revitalised shopping experience at Glasswells.

Sales Director Kevin Robertson commented: “We’re so excited to share our newly transformed departments with our customers! The space has been designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and easy to explore, making it the perfect place to find everything you need for your home and festive shopping. With Christmas just around the corner, it’s a great time to come and discover all the gifts, cookware, lighting, and home essentials under one roof.”
