Home furnishings retailer Homesense has confirmed it will close its store at the Merry Hill shopping centre next year.
Merry Hill is a large shopping complex in Brierley Hill, near Dudley. Homesense revealed plans to close its store in early 2027 following a review of its store portfolio.
A statement said: “We regularly review our store portfolio to ensure our formats and locations continue to meet customer needs and support the long-term health of the business. Those reviews can result in different outcomes, including stores closing, transitioning to superstores, or continuing in their current format.
“We have decided to close our Merry Hill Homesense store in early 2027. But for now there is no change for our customers. We want to reassure our shoppers that our store continues to be exciting, and as fully packed with merchandise, as ever, and we continue to be fully committed to our customers.
“Our priority throughout this process is our people. We do everything we can to keep associates in the business, and where possible offer opportunities in nearby TK Maxx or Homesense stores. Our focus is on supporting our teams through this change and ensuring associates are treated with care and respect throughout the process.”
