Homeware high street sales rise for sixth straight week

Homeware sales rose on the high street for a sixth straight week.

According to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker, total like-for-like (LFL) sales rose 2.05% for the week ending 15 February 2026.

Homewares total LFLs grew by +3.90% from a base of +9.92% for the same week last week, marking the category’s sixth consecutive positive week.

Store homewares sales fell by -7.00% from a positive base of +9.43% for the same week last year. Non-store homewares sales rose by +14.20% from a base of +0.44% last year.

Total store LFL sales grew by +2.44% from a base of -1.84% for the same week last year. Total non-store LFL sales saw positive growth of +1.67% from a strong base of +15.80% for the same week last year.

Commenting on the results, BDO said: “Total LFL sales have grown for three consecutive weeks. Having grown for all but one week since the start of the year, total store sales grew by +2.44% this week.

“All three categories grew this week across lifestyle (+0.81%), fashion (+2.63%), and homewares (+3.90%). This week saw persistent, widespread wet weather, resulting in prolonged rain and flooding risks.”

Overall footfall improved by +1.2%, driven by retail parks which saw football fall increase by +2.3%, shopping centre footfall which saw foot traffic growing +1.7%, and high street foot traffic which edged up by +0.3%.
