Independent carpet retailer Carpet and Flooring World Scotland has announced plans to close this month.
Situated on Clarence Street in Greenock, the business owner has decided to retire after more than 20 years in the trade.
The retailer has launched a closing down sale and plans to close for the final time on Thursday 26 February 2026.
In a short statement confirming the news, Carpet and Flooring World Scotland said: “After 22 years, we’ve decided it’s time to retire. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way.”
Carpet and Flooring World was established on 1 January 2004 by Mark Caira. Mark had previously been working locally in the carpet trade since 1991 and gained a vast knowledge of products within the market place.
