Inside Bensons for Beds new Tottenham Court Road store

Bed retailer Bensons for Beds has opened a new store on Tottenham Court Road, marking a major milestone in the company’s transformation strategy.

The opening brings Bensons back to one of the UK’s most iconic furniture and interiors retail locations, reinforcing its growing momentum and renewed confidence.

This central London location is part of a broader growth plan that has seen 21 new and refurbished stores open in 2025. It also marks another trial of a smaller, high street format  store – a key component of Bensons’ plans to grow its presence in urban and commuter markets.

“Tottenham Court Road is a bold, strategic return for Bensons,” said Paul Owen, Chief Retail Officer, Bensons for Beds, “Showing that we can lead the market in design, personalisation and experience, even in compact, city-centre spaces. We believe there’s a clear opportunity to expand our footprint within the M25 and other markets in the UK. I wish all our colleagues at the new store the very best of luck as we go into our peak period of trading.”

The new store showcases a curated capsule collection of beds, mattresses and accessories across Bensons for Beds own brands: Slumberland, Staples & Co, Simply by Bensons and eve Sleep. It features a warm, home-inspired interior design, with digital window screens displaying brand storytelling, promotions and key product features.

Shoppers will experience SleepPRO™, Bensons for Beds exclusive in-store digital tool designed to match customers with their ideal comfort and mattress type.

The opening comes after a strong period of trading for Bensons, and follows its recent industry recognition as National Bed Retailer of the Year and certification as a Great Place to Work,  and a year of resurgence for the 70 year old retail business.

“This is a symbol of how far we’ve come,” said Nick Collard, CEO. “Bensons for Beds is back on Tottenham Court Road, alongside the UK’s biggest furniture retailers, and we couldn’t be more pleased.”
