Kyoto Futons expands leadership team with new General Manager

Kyoto Futons has announced the appointment of Mark Ballard as General Manager, marking an important step in the company’s continued growth.

This new chapter is further strengthened by the recent addition of Paul Little as Sales and Marketing Director, as Kyoto builds a leadership team focused on driving the business forward.

Mark joins Kyoto with over 22 years’ experience in logistics, bringing a wealth of knowledge across ecommerce, B2B, B2C, mail order and returns. His career spans multiple sectors, including fashion, home and garden, healthcare and food, giving him a broad and well-rounded understanding of operational excellence.

Prior to joining Kyoto, Mark worked at CEVA Logistics, where he led projects focused on quality, continuous improvement and operational performance within fast-paced environments. His experience includes managing new contract launches, implementing process improvements and delivering strong results, all while developing and supporting high-performing teams.

Known for his collaborative approach and commitment to making a positive impact, Mark has consistently gravitated towards roles where he can drive meaningful change and contribute to a strong team culture. His appointment reflects Kyoto’s ongoing investment in people, processes and infrastructure as the business continues to evolve.

When asked about his ambitions at Kyoto, Mark highlights a focus on positive change across both people and the wider business.
