Mattress brand sales grow as rebuild continues

The owner of the UK arm of mattress brand Dormeo has reported an increase in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales rose 41% to £22.9m from £16.2m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses amounted to £2.1m, narrowing from a loss of £4.6m recorded in the previous year.

United T and C Limited acquired Dormeo UK in pre-pack deal for a total sum of £800,000 after the brand entered administration back in February 2023.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The decision was made to honour all open orders at the point of purchase. The effect of this was high costs of sales and delivery with no associated revenue in the first half of 2023.

“2024 continued to be a year of rebuilding bringing more customers onboard although revenue was more evenly distributed across the year compared to 2023. Relationships with both customers and suppliers continued to be rebuilt.”
