Retirement brings curtain down on 30-year independent

Independent furniture retailer David Ian Furniture has confirmed it will close for the final time due to retirement.

Situated on Dymchurch Road in Hythe, the business, which is owned by David and Dianne Goulding, is to close after 31 years of trading.

To mark the retirement, the retailer launched a closing down sale and is now in the process of moving on final products and assets including three vans.

“After 31 successful years, David Ian Furniture is closing down and retiring,” the company said. “David & Dianne would like to thank all of our loyal customers and friends for their amazing support over this time.

“We are clearing all of our fantastic quality stock, so please come down and grab a bargain before the doors close for the final time.”
