Furniture wholesaler Seconique has reported a decline in sales and profit
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025, total sales fell 8.9% to £23.3m from £25.6m in 2024.
UK sales were down to £23.1m from £25.5m, while EU sales rose to £167,000 from £147,000. Rest of the world sales registered £13,000.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.9m, down from £3.4m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The market conditions during the financial year were challenging with many consumers showing a reluctance to spend on bigger ticket items and a depressed housing market having an impact upon renovations and improvements that would have benefited the Company.
“Despite this economic position, the Company’s furniture products continued to sell but at reduced volumes with increased levels of discounting to support the products.”
