Sales and profit down at bed maker

Bed manufacturer Relyon has reported a decline in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025, total sales fell 21.9% to £12.1m from £15.5m in 2024.

UK sales represented £11.9m of revenues, down from £15.3m, while EU sales stood at £186,000, down from £218,000.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £205,000, down from £518,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company, which also operates the Dunlopillo brand, said: “Bed market consumer demand for the 2024/2025 year was down on prior year.

“Our 2025 turnover reduced to £12.2m, which was partly due to those market conditions, but more significantly was also due to one of our large national customers suspending trading due to a cyber-attack, which led to many months of subsequent disruption.

“Unfortunately, these events overshadowed gains made by a number of established independent customers and large groups, our portfolio of customers is now as strong as it has ever been, with no one customer representing more than 10% of our total turnover.”
