Sales and profit fall at home improvement retailer

Two-store home improvement, furnishings and beds retailer Gardiner Haskins has reported a slight decline in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales fell 2.7% to £7m from £7.2m in 2022.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £193,000, down from £492,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, Gardiner Haskins, which has stores in Bristol and Cirencester, reported net assets of £11.4m, just down from £11.6m, while year-end cash at the bank stood at £1.8m.
