Sales and profit grow at contract furniture business

Contract furniture design and manufacturing business, Boss Design, has reported a growth in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025, total sales rose 2.6% to £38.9m from £37.9m in 2024.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £6.1m, up from its profit of £1.3m recorded the previous year.

UK sales rose to £29.4m from £28.9m, while EU sales increased to £2.5m from £2m. Revenues from North America also rose to £2.5m from £1.9m, with sales in Asia declining to £4.3m from £4.6m.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Trading conditions in the Company’s domestic and international markets are expected to remain competitive in the near term, with customer activity influenced by wider economic factors, including interest rates and investment confidence.

“Although inflationary pressures have moderated, the directors consider that these conditions may limit the potential for significant short-term growth.

“The Company intends to continue investing in new product development, operational capability and market development activities, making use of its strong balance sheet and asset base.

“These actions are aimed at ensuring the business remains well positioned to meet customer requirements and support sustainable performance over the medium term.”
