Upholstered furniture manufacturer Buoyant Upholstery has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025, total sales rose 17.9% to £49.2m from £41.8m in 2024.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £2.8m, up from £1.4m recorded the previous year.

UK sales were up to £45.3m from £38.2m, while revenues in its Ireland division also increased to £3.9m from £3.5m year-on-year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Overall market conditions were still challenging, however through the launch of a number of exciting and successful new designs into the market place, the Company was able to perform ahead of the market through a gain in market share.

“These new launches, coupled with a number of UK competitors having difficulties in the year, should help the business longer term. Margin (27.8%) was helped due to the continued stable material prices throughout the period.

“As we enter 2026, demand for our products continues to grow. The Company is currently performing ahead of both budget and 2024 and the board looks forward with confidence.”
