Sales decline at furnishings group

Furnishings group Giomani Designs has reported a decline in sales as losses widened.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025, total sales fell 16% to £43.9m from £52.3m in 2024.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £1.1m, widening from a loss of £377,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, Giomani Designs, which also trades as online beds retailer Beds.co.uk, online homewares retailer Cox + Cox and garden furniture retailer Moda Furnishings, said: “Turnover for the year was down. This reflects a series of conscious decisions taken during the year to refocus the business, scale back underperforming channels, and concentrate resources where they were most needed.

“The most encouraging result of the year was the improvement in gross profit margin, which rose from 36.8% to 47.5%. The Company closed the year with no long-term bank borrowings, which the Directors consider an important strength given the current economic climate.”
