Furniture manufacturer ercol has reported a slight increase in sales as losses narrowed.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales rose 1.7% to £19.2m from £18.9m in 2023.
EBITDA stood at £608,000, up from £488,000, while pre-tax losses resulted at £348,000, narrowing from a loss of £856,000 recorded in the previous year.
UK sales were up to £18.7m from £18.4m, while EU sales rose to £97,000 from £81,000. Rest of the world sales declined to £359,000 from £452,000.
Stated within its report, the company said: “2024 turned out to be a much-improved year in terms of financial performance after a poor 2023. Turnover increased 1.7% compared with 2023 with again a healthy order book being carried over to 2025.
“Gross margin increased from 30.3% to 30.6%, which is further evidence of a continued efficiency drive in both our factory made and outsourced product.”
