New search data reveals highest ranked sofa retailers for 2026 with DFS in pole position on overall brand awareness.
According to Salience Search Marketing’s new annual online UK sofa retailer 2026 report, Furniture Village scored highest in terms of organic traffic, with visibility rising by 5% to 762,196. However, compared to the market, the score dropped 11%.
The biggest gain was Oak Furnitureland, up 69% to 718,520, with market comparison also up by 53%. The retailer sat in second place in terms of overall traffic score.
Making up the top five included DFS – up 15% year-on-year to 434,956, ScS – down 1% to 254,225, and Sofology – down 35% to 230,742.
Other big movers included Sofa Club – up 41%, Loaf – up 40%, Barker & Stonehouse – up 35%, Swoon – up 33%, and Furniture & Choice – up 23%.

Other areas of the report analysed page speed metrics. Topping the list here was msofas.co.uk, performing strong on both desktop and mobile platforms. Next came Loaf.com, while sklum.com, willowandhall.co.uk and lovesofas.co.uk completed the top five.

Furthermore, the report highlighted emerging search trends within the sofa category with ‘l shaped sofa’ ranking as the top keyword – up by 7% with a search volume of 40,500. Next up was ‘sofa side table’ with a volume of 9,900 – up 7%, while ‘2 seater small couch’ rose 8% with a volume of 9,900.
The term ‘right hand corner sofa’ rose 22% with a volume of 5,400 and ‘2 & 3 seater sofa set’ saw volumes rise 41% to 4,400. On the lower scale, but the most improved score was ‘second hand sofas near me’ up 100% with a volume of 2,900.
As for emerging brands, Oak Furnitureland topped the search volume table with 301,000, a growth by 7%. Also showing a 7% uptick was Loaf with a volume of 74,000, which secured second place. Rounding up the top five included Sofa Club – up 6% with a volume of 49,500, Roseland Furniture – up 30% with a volume of 27,100, and Cult Furniture – up 40% with a volume of 18,100.
Other notable shifts included Nick Scali – up 779% with a volume of 1,900, and Swyft Home – up 267% with a volume of 1,600.


In terms of highly reviewed sites, endorsing consumer trust, DFS ranked highest with 617,519 reviews at an average score of 4.9. Taking second place was Sofology with 282,360 reviews at score of 4.8, while ScS took third spot with 522,758 reviews at a score of 4.4.

Looking at overall brand awareness as market leaders in terms of brand searches per month combined with social score, DFS ranked the highest. The top five consisted of Oak Furnitureland, Furniture Village, Sofology and Loaf.
