Furniture supplier Monumart Ltd has issued a product recall on a sofa bed and chair over fire safety concerns.

In a notice by the Office for Product Safety and Standards, the product recall is for the Yaheetech Velvet Convertible Sofa Bed and the Yaheetech Barrel-Shaped Chair.
The products, which both originate from China, are described as ‘a grey three-seater sofa bed with velvet material and four wooden legs’, as well as ‘a light grey velvet chair with four black legs’. They were sold from dates ranging between January 2026 and April 2026.
A statement said: “The product(s) presents a risk of fire as it does not meet UK flammability requirements. If the product is exposed to an ignition source the foam filling material could catch fire and continue to flame.
“The products do not meet the requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
“The product(s) has been recalled from end users by Monumart Ltd. Consumers who own the product should stop using it immediately and keep it away from possible fire sources.”
