UK sales and profit decline at panel products supplier

Manufacturer of wood-based panel products to the furniture industry, EGGER, has reported a decline in UK turnover.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2025, total sales fell 4.1% to £412.1m from £430.1m in 2024.

Gross margin increased to 17.5% from 21%, with EBITDA decreasing 23.8% to £41.5m from £54.4m. Pre-tax profit resulted at £23.5m, down from £37.1m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Despite the current uncertain economic outlook, Egger UK is well placed to sustain its financial performance based on its mix of customers, investment in employees, ongoing reinvestment in production technologies and product range, and high levels of service in the long term.”
