Flooring manufacturing group Karndean has reported a decline in sales while profits increased.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales fell 4.7% to £104.8m from £110m in 2023.
UK sales slipped to £88.4m from £92.1m, while EU revenues decreased to £14.9m from £16.4m. Rest of the world sales fell to £1.4m from £1.5m.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £12.6m, up from £7m recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “Karndean continues to develop new and innovative products to support its growth, with a defined product development roadmap that harnesses regional market needs, design trends and emerging product innovation to ensure Karndean remains at the forefront of the LVT sector.
“We have strategic plans and initiatives in place across our businesses in the United Kingdom and Europe to support our independent retailers as well as our customers in trade and commercial channels. We also continue to explore new geographical territories and sales channels in which to operate.”
As for its parent group, total global sales fell 4% to $352m from $367m, with pre-tax losses resulting at $16.9m, narrowing from a loss of $17.1m.
