About Us
We are a fast‑growing furniture retailer operating three successful showrooms, a central warehouse, and a rapidly expanding online store. With strong brand momentum and a loyal customer base, we’re now preparing for our next phase of growth — including opening new showrooms and significantly scaling our e‑commerce channel. Our goal is bold and clear: reach £20 million in annual turnover within the next three years.
To help us get there, we’re searching for an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to lead our operational strategy and build the systems that will power our expansion.
The Role
As COO, you will be the driving force behind our day‑to‑day operations and long‑term scalability. You’ll oversee our showrooms, warehouse, logistics, and online fulfilment while preparing the business for new locations and higher sales volume. Working closely with the Managing Director, you’ll turn our growth ambitions into reality through operational excellence, strong leadership, and smart commercial thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operations across three showrooms, ensuring consistent standards, strong sales processes, and exceptional customer experience.
- Plan and execute new showroom openings, including staffing, operational setup, and launch readiness.
- Oversee warehouse operations, delivery logistics, and inventory accuracy across all channels.
- Strengthen and scale e‑commerce fulfilment, ensuring fast, accurate, customer‑friendly order processing.
- Build omnichannel processes such as click‑and‑collect, unified returns, and cross‑channel stock visibility.
- Develop scalable systems, SOPs, and KPIs to support rapid growth.
- Partner with the Managing Director to translate the £20M turnover target into operational plans and milestones.
- Drive cost efficiency across labour, logistics, warehousing, and procurement.
- Lead and develop a diverse team across retail, warehouse, and digital operations.
About You
- Experienced in multi‑site retail operations, ideally in furniture, home goods, or bulky‑item retail.
- Strong background in sales, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management.
- Hands‑on experience with e‑commerce operations and omnichannel retail.
- Proven ability to scale operations, open new locations, or support rapid business growth.
- Data‑driven, commercially minded, and comfortable owning KPIs and performance metrics.
- A natural leader who can inspire teams and build a strong operational culture.
- Comfortable in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment where you can make a real impact.
